Asilomar 2023
To help promote the American Society of Naturalists and encourage broad engagement at their first in-person conference since the pandemic began, I created logos and multimedia for Asilomar 2023.
Evolution 2022
To promote the American Society of Naturalists and honor the host city - Cleveland, Ohio - of Evolution 2022, I created a series of historic album covers featuring original illustrations from early articles of the American Naturalist.
American Society of Naturalists
To promote the American Society of Naturalists and their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, I digitized original illustrations from early articles of the American Naturalist to create a serious of “Life Needs Variation” merchandise.
Profits from merchandise and matching funds from ASN paid for virtual admission to Evolution 2022 for 116 researchers from 29 countries, as well as society memberships for 72 of those researchers.
To purchase merchandise, visit the American Society of Naturalists’ RedBubble Shop.
Virtual Asilomar 2021
To help promote the first virtual conference held by the American Society of Naturalists and encourage broad engagement, I created logos and multimedia for Virtual Asilomar 2021.
I also helped organize Natural History Trivia Night.
ECR^2 2020
After Evolution 2020 was canceled due to the pandemic, the graduate councils of the American Society of Naturalists (ASN), Society for the Study of Evolution (SSE), and Society for Systematic Biologists (SSB) hosted a virtual conference: ECR^2 (Evolutionary Community Resources for Early Career Researchers).
This conference was free for all members of ASN, SSE, and SSB.
To increase engagement and participation for this virtual conference during the pandemic, I created logos, multimedia, and videos for the conference
Emma Lehmberg and I co-hosted a Data Carpenter’s bioinformatics workshop for ~50 students from around the world.
